Tuberculosis is a common disease in India. It was surprising to see this case with tuberculosis of both submandibular gland. After diagnosing this case I sent this case to TB hospital.
ReplyDeleteI have same problem sir what is the currect treatment removal of sm gland or?
ReplyDeleteHello, Enlargement of both submandibular gland could be because of various reasons like Viral or bacterial infections, stones, Sarcoidosis, tuberculosis, diabetes, Obesity or very rarely some tumor like lymphoma and treatment depended upon cause. Tuberculosis very well responds to ATT (anti tubercular therapy). So Visit ENT Doctor to have some diagnosis either way of scan or FNAC so that appropriate treatment can be started at earliest.
